In our FREEFLOW solution, the LPR system (License Plate Recognition) automatically captures the license plate at the entry point – no ticket, no terminal, no barrier. The license plate is the sole parking medium for entry, exit, and payment. The Designa FREEFLOW Solution uses front-facing and optional rear cameras to ensure a recognition rate of over 99%.

The Designa FREEFLOW solution reduces operating costs on multiple levels: paper tickets, printers, and their maintenance are eliminated entirely. Less hardware means less upkeep and service overhead. With no barriers in place, there is no congestion, no intercom calls, and no lost tickets. Throughput in the parking facility increases measurably.

The Designa FREEFLOW Solution incorporates multiple layers of security: The Honesty Function allows customers to manually enter their parking data at the pay station. The Parking Finder enables operators to search for and correct misread license plates. A similarity search automatically suggests comparable plates for selection when recognition is insufficient.

The Transaction Manager documents outstanding payments, categorizes them, and makes them exportable for payment recovery requests. Additionally, the LPR system detects the direction of travel to prevent fraud. At the exit, payment status is automatically verified and displayed on screen.

FREEFLOW is the most complete form of Barrier-Free Parking: entry and exit operate entirely without a parking barrier. TICKETLESS can still include barriers – in Gated or Semi-Gated mode, the barrier is retained as a security feature. FREEFLOW is particularly suited to facilities with high throughput where maximum vehicle flow is the priority.

FREEFLOW is suited to parking facilities with high vehicle volume – shopping centers, airports, hospitals, and inner-city car parks benefit most from the seamless traffic flow.
