With ticketless parking using license plate recognition (LPR), the vehicle license plate is automatically captured at entry – contactless, with no ticket to collect and no need to open a window. The license plate serves as the unique identification medium for payment and exit. The Designa TICKETLESS Solution uses front-facing and optional rear cameras to ensure a high recognition rate.

Ticketless parking systems significantly reduce operating costs: paper tickets, printers, restocking effort, and disposal are eliminated entirely. Maintenance and service costs also decrease, as less hardware is deployed and issues such as lost tickets or congestion at the entry barrier are removed. Throughput in the car park increases – drivers enter and exit faster, directly improving customer satisfaction.

In a ticketless car park, there are two payment options: With PAY BY PLATE, the customer enters their license plate on the touch display of the pay station – the parking duration is calculated automatically and payment is made directly. With PAY MOBILE, the entire payment process is handled digitally via smartphone, with no visit to the pay station required.

The Designa TICKETLESS Solution provides multiple safeguards for this scenario: In Hybrid Mode, the system automatically falls back to a barcode or QR code ticket. The Honesty Function allows the customer to enter their parking data manually. Operators can search for and correct misread license plates using the Parking Finder.

Yes – license plate recognition within the Designa TICKETLESS Solution is implemented in full compliance with GDPR. License plate data is processed exclusively for the purpose of the individual parking transaction and is neither stored beyond that purpose nor shared with third parties.

The Designa TICKETLESS Solution adapts flexibly to existing infrastructure through three operating modes (Hybrid, Gated, Semi Gated): with or without a parking barrier, as a partial upgrade or full conversion.
