THE CHALLENGE

P-Hämppi was an extraordinary project - right from the start. After all, what can be done if a big city like Tampere urgently needs many parking spaces - but no space is available for them? It goes deep. Directly below the central main street in close proximity to the shopping malls and office buildings, 30 meters below the city, a 650 meter long, 32 meter wide and 10 meter high tunnel was dug into the hardest rock in 2007: Space for almost a thousand vehicles and much more.

THE SOLUTION

All considerations and technical challenges in the underground parking area were consistently focused on the customer's point of view and the effort to ensure a smooth and pleasant overall experience. DESIGNA installed a visionary park management system. The core was the cash register, which is modern in design and function, to Pre-Booking, which guides the customer without any loss of time to the parking area reserved in advance, to the secure identification and information screens, at which the exact location of the vehicle can be queried: P-Hämppi really sets great store by service and experience when parking in a rocky area.
